Doorway, San Luis Rey Misssion

This is another of my mission pictures. This one was taken at San Luis Rey. Like all of the missions, the doorways are beautiful. In this case, I particularly liked the raised tiled platform in front of the doorway. The white grout is especially attractive, and helps lead the eyes to the doorway. I chose a good time to visit, in the afternoon, as this provided glancing light that always shows up whitewashed or stuccoed walls so nicely. I was very lucky on this trip to get quite a few lovely images at the missions, so I will probably post at least a couple more over the next two weeks.
