Clouds and Seagull

I just returned form almost two weeks in B.C.; a week on the island at Nanoose Bay, two days in Vancouver, and two days in Kelowna. I had wonderful photographic opportunities and took very many pictures. I had a difficult time deciding which image to publish today, but finally decided on this one. We were driving from Tofino to Nanoose Bay, and stopped at Port Alberni. It was almost eight at night, the winds were blowing strongly, and the sky was filled with spectacular lenticular and cumulus clouds. I knew that I had to get some pictures of these amazing clouds, so I quickly set up my camera and started exposing images. Suddenly, a seagull swung right in view and I was able to get in three exposures before it moved out of my frame. I could hardly believe my luck when I looked at the pictures, and this one was the one I chose, with the wings fully extended. This picture brings to mind pictures of nebulae taken by the Hubble telescope!
