Urban Reflections #2

This Urban Reflection was taken in Chinatown, as evidenced by the beautiful pagoda style lamp post. What caught my eye however were the lovely repeating stretched Z shaped lines and of course the distorted reflections in the glass of the buildings. I will be spending much more time downtown working on more urban reflections as I am finding them so fascinating. I had forgotten, but looking at my pictures, I remembered that Bruce Barnbaum had visited Calgary in 1985 for a workshop and he thad taken a picture of some of the downtown reflections. I looked up his book, Visual Symphony and sure enough, there was the picture along with a few others taken in American cities! In 1985, downtown Calgary was quite small, so if Bruce returned today, I am sure he would be want to spend time taking many more pictures of the wonderful reflections in the glass jungle that is downtown Calgary.
